Maybe whats happening in Japan  -of the 2011  Fukashima Nuclear fallout might something to do with a lot of changes lately !  Its a complete Melt down in reactors #3 & 4  , and I don.t think they want the world to really know whats really going on !   We need to fix the problem !  Because Clearly The Japanese don't have a clue of what they are doing !   and Not  ever having any fail safe mesures in place ! and then they still decided to turn them back on !  and then they get slammed by a Tusanmi !  !  Its gonna kill  all the fish in the Pacific and all the beautiful  islands ! who decided the Japanese where smart enough to have a nuclear Plant ?  Or what where they thinking to build one on a Fault line ?   Our Next President needs to make the Japanese take our help in doing something soon !    Because Clearly OBama hasn't done anything  except piss the japanese off !    We need better leadership !   The NRC needs  help  to figure something out !

I'd bet that we don't need to look for weird  cognitive rationales here, but rather a bit of common sense coupled with a bit of laziness.  Most of us are equipped with recycling bins that don't accommodate irregular objects that well.  And so if we were to recycle many crumpled up bits of paper, we'd have to spend time and effort on flattening them out first.
