This article is from 2022 and it's about how much worse OKCupid is now than is was in 2012. Well, it's 2025 now and OKCupid is much worse than it was in 2022.

Very true.
OKCupid is shit now. I've been on it since ~2010 (non monogamous). Went from hundreds of active profiles in my million person city to maybe 20 active profiles. Of those 20 active profiles, only 2 are what I'd consider "dateable". |

I guess that's what happens when the user base is eroding but you have to provide those matches, no matter what.

If people find a good match and start a relationship, they have no more need for OKCupid. Therefore, OKCupid has motivation to keep people from finding good matches. It's a self defeating business model. If the product works, users will have no more need for the product.
